Reading the Cards

For my readings I use the tarot, the Petit Lenormand & I also cast the charms, sometimes apart, sometimes combined, just as the situation requires. In my shop you can find different options, for different kinds of situations, but also for differently sized wallets!

Casting the Charms

In addition to reading cards I also use a very different kind of oracle: casting the charms.

Charm casting is drawing a number of symbolic metal charms and divining a story from how they fall. I also combine them with the cards, which adds such a layer of meaning and detail that it surprises me every time. They blend in with the picture on the card as it were, thus adding to the story. Besides, it looks very pretty!

Performing a Reading

An email reading works as follows. When I receive your payment I contact you via email & we can discuss your question or issue. When I have a clear picture of what it is you want to know about, I sit down & perform the reading. I take a picture of your spread & start writing the report. This is in fact a kind of automatic writing session, performed in a half-trance, listening to what the spirits are adding to my own intuitions.

Almost always I receive the information in an oracular prose poetry which makes for a very intense & beautiful reading experience. This is why at the moment I prefer doing email readings over live ones, because I’m not sure if I’m ready to do this orally, let alone on camera! When the report is finished I’ll email it to you, usually within 2 or 3 working days. Voilà!

A Bit of Sorcery

A very special & unique kind of reading is a Spellwork Reading. Using the cards for spellwork (i.e. magical work or sorcery, see the Spellwork page) is not unusual, as they are powerful symbols that can be used for all kinds of visualisation. In addition I’m discovering that when doing a reading the spread itself can be used as a portal into the situation at hand.

I started doing this because I got feedback from people telling me that simply doing the reading had already helped them, even before they read the report! So I can send healing or whatever kind of assistance is needed directly through the spread. When I surround the reading with ritual & do this consciously, the effect is greatly enhanced. I love having such a powerful crossover between witchcraft & divination!
